What do we do?

We are an organisation that insists on seeing the whole person by using creative practices as a tool for social change and rebuilding lives. Instead of defining people by their perceived failures and successes, we develop self-esteem and personal confidence by encouraging people in similar situations to come together regularly and express themselves through creativity. The very nature of living with challenging life circumstances means that all our participants have a unique perspective and a rich story to tell. This brings imagination and heightened sensitivity to our creative spaces making them a distinctive environment for building relationships and social cohesion.

How do we do it?

We run workshops, activities and events on a regular basis in and around Eastbourne focusing on the visual language of the arts. All our workshops are intergenerational, inclusive, non-hierarchical and informal. We encourage new participants to either take a leading role or to work with one of our team of artists in the design and delivery of our studio and theatre based projects.

We currently have 14 projects running throughout the week including, making work for exhibitions, stage rehearsals, garden design, taking art experiences into residential care, creative writing and completing a commission for a public mosaic. See the events/booking page to find out whats on.
